Its now eight months since Khamzat Chimaev was last seen in action, and the welterweight and middleweight laments that the UFC is not giving him enough fights.

The problem is definitely not with me: Khamzat Chimaev

“Borz” had his last outing back in September last year when he submitted Kevin Holland at UFC 279- a dramatic event that saw him missing weight on the scales and ending up fighting Holland at 180-pound catchweight.

There have been questions arising as to why the Chechnya-born Swede isn’t getting booked, and the UFC prez Dana White recently revealed to TSN that Chimaev dealing with personal stuff is barring the promotion from booking him for a fight.

However, Khamzat Chimaev himself makes a counter claim, saying that he would’ve fought already if the promotion gave him a fight.

“I have no problems with fights,” Chimaev stated in a recent post on Twitter. “If they gave me a fight, I would have fought a long time ago, I did so many training camps and not one fight, the problem is definitely not with me, prepared in Dubai then to Thailand, why do I train so much if there is no fight, I don’t understand.”

Kamaru Usman, the former 170-pound champ, recently expressed his desire to lock horns with Chimaev, but his wish was quickly turned down by White, giving the condition that the fight can only happen at middleweight.

All that being said, Chimaev made it clear that he will decide where he will fight next.

“If I want to fight 77 if I want to fight 84 I decide,” the 29-year-old tweeted.

In another Twitter post, Chimaev tagged middleweight champ Israel Adesanya, welterweight champ Leon Edwards, Belal Muhammad, Colby Covington, Robert Whittaker, and Usman- stating that hes ready to fight anyone.

I can fight with everyone I don’t care who,” he added.
