The much anticipated RWS fight between the current super bantamweight champion and the current bantamweight champion of the much revered Rajademern stadium surely was a show to watch. Khunsueklek improves his professional Muay Thai record to 83-6-3.

The 18-year-old earned an impressive 1 Million Baht for this title fight. With this win, he has extended his winning streak to 41 fights

A typical orthodox vs Southpaw match, the match specializes in the number of swinging lethal kicks which were garnered in the first round itself. The match begins with Petchsiam swinging his dominant left leg to a beautiful high kick on Khunsueklek which is craftily blocked as well.

The round had its major highlight when Khunsueklek put up a wonderful roundhouse, Petchsiam leaned exactly to the required amount just to evade the kick and himself put up a swinging roundhouse from his right into the spleen to Khunsueklek. The very next moment Khunsueklek again seems to go for a roundhouse and Petchsiam tries to block it, Khunsueklek turns it into a sweep kick, throwing Petchsiam on the ground.

The players came into the clinch position a couple of times and the movement of hands were highly limited in the 1st round with chiefly Khunsueklek delivering most of the punches.

Khunsueklek Extends His Win Streak to 41 Fights

The second round begins and Khunsueklek seems to just have some other plans for this round. In muay Thai generally the first round is spent to understand the fighting style of the opponent and to analyze attacks for the upcoming rounds. Khunsueklek surely seems to have a better understanding of it as he barrages into his opponent with a series of roundhouse and low kicks. Petchsiam’s defense was praiseworthy as well.

One of the chief highlights of the round comes at 1:52 mins when Petchsiam successfully evades the roundhouse kick of Khunsueklek and counters with a left jab right hook and a low kick to the left of Khunsueklek. This round had comparably more movement of hands with both the parties having their share and a couple of knees were shared as well on each other.

The 3rd round starts, a couple of roundhouses from each other and Khunsueklek puts up a head kick from his left. It hits Petchsiam, he falls to the ground, and he doesn’t seem to be able to get up. 16 seconds into the the 3 minutes of the 3rd of the 5 rounds and the match is officially over. The wonder kid has done it again. Khunsueklek now has an unbeaten streak of 43 matches. The stadium bursts into cheers.
