Omar Shami has been widely recognized as an important figure in Jordanian MMA. Owner of Kingdom Fighters, the country’s biggest fight team, he has praised Brave Combat Federation after the promotion announced its debut in Jordan, which will happen at Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises, set for Amman, on March 2nd. According to Shami, the initiative shows that Brave is paying attention to Jordan’s growth and representation in Middle East MMA scene.
“Brave coming to Jordan shows that they are in tune with what’s happening with the country. It shows the vision that the management has. They know that Jordan will, at some point, bring up the best fighters in the Middle East. They’re recognizing that Jordan will be the home of the best fighters in the Middle East. There’s no doubt that MMA is the fastest growing sport in Jordan right now, as it is in the whole world. Brave is going to help increase awareness and the level that we have in our MMA scene”, says the manager and gym owner.
Shami is involved with all four Jordanian fighters set for action at Brave 10. Jalal Al Daaja, Nawras Abzakh, and Jarrah Al-Selawe are all a part of Kingdom Fighters, while Kareem-Abdul Al-Selwady is sponsored by his hospital Shami Eyes Center.  And he’s hoping to see his athletes step up in the global platform provided by Brave.
“We have four major fighters involved with us and we’re expecting to see the best coming out of them on March 2nd. We’ve worked so hard with them, to help them raise their levels as much as Brave has done with MMA in the Middle East. We are able now to compete at a global level. We have adjusted our team according to this. We want to raise the bar according to what Brave is doing to the sport here in our region”
Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises marks the promotion’s first show in Jordan, home to some of Brave’s most decorated fighters, and the seventh country to host a Brave Combat Federation event, after Bahrain, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, India, Kazakhstan, and Mexico.
