On November 10, it just wouldn’t be the UFC making it’s return to Denver, Colorado, but Chan Sung Jung, better known as The Korean Zombie, will also be making his much awaited return to competition when he will step in to dance with Frankie Edgar.
From the time of the announcement of the fight, it was clear that the fight had title implications. However, The Korean Zombie expects that if he wins the fight, he will be getting a title shot at the winner of Max Holloway and Brian Ortega.
“I was told that if I win this fight, I will get a title shot”, said The Korean Zombie (via Rank5) during a press conference /open workout.
Arguably one of the greatest mixed martial artist hailing out of the Asia – Pacific region, Jung further reflected on the changes during the course of his career.
I was fighting for myself in my twenties, but now I’m fighting for my family,” he said. “Even though I do not have the same physical strength, I have amassed much more experience and know-how.”
Surely the Korean fan favorite will need the same when he steps in to fight “The Answer” at UFC Fight Night 139 inside the Pepsi Center in the same place where the UFC began 25 years ago, Denver. The event will also be an official markup of UFC’s 25th anniversary.
