KSI is making sure that rival Jake Paul doesn’t get all the attention. He revealed on Wednesday that he and fellow influencer IShowSpeed will broadcast a live sparring session on YouTube on December 15, which is guaranteed to ruffle Paul’s feathers. The event is scheduled to start at 11 p.m. ET, which just so happens to be Paul’s walkout time for his next boxing battle in Orlando, Florida versus Andre August.
For those who are unaware, IShowSpeed is a popular YouTuber who currently has almost 22 million subscribers on YouTube. He previously called for the Brit to meet him in a sparring match, which KSI verbally agreed to on the condition that it take place on the same date as Paul vs. August.
The sparring session was announced via social media. It has been announced that all donations and ad revenue from the live YouTube stream are to go to the Anthony Walker Foundation, a charity dedicated to fighting against racism, hate crimes, and discrimination, through education and support services.
The Paul family has long been associated with the Brit; in 2018 and 2019, the two fighters ignited the influencer boxing movement. They were Jake Paul’s brother Logan Paul and Jake Paul. Since then, the two have put their past behind them and even partnered with the Prime energy drink company, but KSI and Jake haven’t stopped teasing fights with each other.
In his most recent bout, the Brit lost in a unanimous decision against Tommy Fury in a bout that was bashed for its dismal quality. It is the first loss of KSI’s six-fight pro boxing career.
