Light Heavyweight UFC Contender Johnny Walker will be entering the UFC Octagon to take on his biggest challenge till date when he faces Misha Cirkunov. Ahead of the fight, Walker has denied that he is in anyway overconfident.
Since making his debut in the UFC, he has been able to win both his fights in the very first round. The first win came against Khalil Rountree in 2018, where vicious elbows were enough to hand him the win at 1 minute and 57 seconds. The fans did not even have to wait that long in the next fight, as he was able to knock out Justin Ledet with a Spinning Backfist and punches in 15 seconds earlier this year in February.
Stepping into the Octagon with Misha Cirkunov many fighters would be nervous, but Walker is not — however, he says he is not overconfident either.
“I’m not overconfident, I just believe in myself a lot and have faith in me. I know my limits. I know what I can do, when I can play around and where I can step. If I couldn’t step where I’m stepping, they wouldn’t put me here. If I’m here, it’s because it was already written, that’s for sure.” – Bloody Elbow
He will fight Misha Cirkunov this weekend and try to pick up the win at UFC 235: Jones vs Smith.
