Indian Boxing star Vijender Singh(11-0-0) is all set to fight on November 22 in Dubai at Caesars Palace, Bluewaters DXB against Charles Adamu (33-14-0) of Ghana. The fight is the co-main event.

The unbeaten Boxing sensation from Bhiwani is set to fight on a card promoted by MTK Global and Round 10 Boxing, in association with Top Rank Promotions. Vijender Singh last stepped inside the ring back in July at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, when he took on Mike Snider and defeated him via TKO in the fourth round.

BREAKING NEWS: Vijender Singh knocks down Charles Adamu three times to win a UD - Vijender

On the other hand, Charles Adamu is coming off of a TKO victory over David Okai in February earlier this year.

A win for Vijender could also place him on the top of the WBO rankings, which could mean he would be eligible for a title shot in 2020. He was out for the entirety of 2018 which hugely impacted his rankings in the WBO. Previously he was ranked #10 in the WBO and if he manages to win tonight, he could be eligible to fight WBO super-middleweight champion, Billy Joe Saunders who recently fought Marcelo Coceres at the KSI vs Logan Paul 2 undercard in Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Last month, Singh revealed that he planned to fight for a world title in 2020 and revealed that he has trained extremely hard for this fight.

For me, these fights are going to be a build-up to the world title which I am aiming for in 2020. I am sure my debut fight in Dubai is going to be an exciting one and looking forward to a knockout win in the early rounds.” (H/T – MTK Global)

This was a long camp. I had 6-7 sparring sessions with really good boxers. It’s time to show how much I’ve prepared. It takes a bit of time. Firstly, the UK is really cold at the moment. It was almost 2-3 (degree centigrade). It’s warm here, so it takes a bit of time. The time difference too plays a part but I believe we are on the right track.”

Vijender said that fighting in Dubai doesn’t faze him one-bit and revealed that he was feeling at home here.

This is very exciting because it’s almost like a hometown fight for me. The language is the same, the people are the same. A lot of Indians, Pakistanis. It doesn’t feel like I’m not fighting at home.” (H/T – Indian Express)

WHERE TO WATCH?

The fight will be available for viewers on Sony Ten1 & Sony Ten HD1. The entire card will start streaming from 9 pm IST.
