Social media celebrity and YouTube superstar Logan Paul has become the latest addition to the WWE, but he is yet to let go of his boxing roots, as Paul is planning to return to the sparring circle in December.
We’re going to go from professional sport to professional sport: Logan Paul
After making a guest appearance at WWE SmackDown in April last year, followed by taking on Rey and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 38 along with his tag team partner The Miz, Logan Paul signed a multi-event contract with the pro wrestling top dog and defeated The Miz by pinfall.
However, the 27-year-old has not forgotten about the start of his combat sports journey- boxing, and speaking at The Pat McAfee Show, Paul revealed that he is looking forward to donning the globes again in December.
“That’s why I was late, I was sparring – I’m a boxer again,” said Paul, “We’re getting back in the ring. We’re going to go from professional sport to professional sport. I want to get a fight in December.”
So far, Paul has made three boxing appearances. His first fight was an amateur event- against fellow YouTube icon KSI in 2018 February which ended in a six round majority draw. The rematch in September 2019 marked Paul’s professional boxing debut, but he lost to KSI via split decision.
Last year, Paul made his exhibition boxing debut against none other than Floyd Mayweather Jr on 6th June. The fight, which clocked over a million PPV buys, went the full eight-round distance but was declared a “None Scored Bout” as a no winner was announced, making “Maverick” the only boxer in history to not let Mayweather walk out from a fight as the winner.

“I have some people in mind, but I can’t say,” Paul replied when asked about who he has in mind, “You know you only get one first impression. That’s part of my ability to make moments. I like making first impressions big, so I want to wait until we’re ready.” [H/T MMA Fighting]
