The woman informed the cops that she and Peña got into an altercation after the MMA fighter accused her of looking at other men on Instagram and as “Violent Bob Ross” became violent, he decided to destroy her iPhone 11.

Furthermore, the woman, who is in a relationship with Peña for a year and has her name classified, had marks and bruises on her face as well as a lump on the top of her head, suggesting that she had suffered physical abuse before the Italian left her home.

Three charges have been slapped on Peña for the assault on his girlfriend- robbery by sudden snatching, battery, and criminal mischief. As he cannot be released on bail until after he’s transported, his attorney, Daniel Martinez is trying to get him transported to Palm Beach County as soon as possible, where he can see a judge before being granted bail.

Previously, the UFC ahs reported Peña suffering from mental health troubles as well as substance abuse, something that the fighter openly addressed on his social media in the past.

Martinez, meanwhile, has negated all accusations against his client, while citing the violent behavior UFC fighters develop from the prolonged head trauma that they sustain inside the cage year after year.

“Luis, as many other fighters do, need help and not punishment,” said Martinez, “Fighters have a very difficult job. They get hit in the head. We don’t know what the long-term effects are.”

“There’s no reason why he shouldn’t be out on bond right now,” the attorney added.

Peña was last seen in action against Alexander Munoz at UFC Vegas 24 on 17th April, marking a split decision victory.
