Pereira’s team has since confirmed that he was not approached for the fight and that he already has commitments for the rest of the year. Despite this, Magomed Ankalaev remains adamant about his desire to face Pereira and has urged UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard to formalize the bout.
The vacancy has also attracted interest from other fighters like Ian Garry and Joaquin Buckley, who are eager to step in for Rakhmonov. UFC 310 is scheduled for December 7 at T-Mobile Arena and will feature other fan favorites like Ciryl Gane, Nick Diaz, and Alexandre Pantoja.
