Mark Coleman makes another heroic gesture- the UFC Hall of Famer has regained consciousness and has been seen engaged in lively conversation with his near and dear ones.
The inaugural UFC heavyweight champion has been all over the headlines for his display of variance two days ago, when Coleman rescued both of his elderly parents from a devastating fire in his childhood home in Fremont, Ohio. The heroic deed had a touch of melancholy as the incident took the life of his dog, “Hammer,” who was the one to alert Coleman about the fire.
After coming out with both his parents, Coleman fell unconscious from smoke inhalation in trying to rescue the dog and was later airlifted to the hospital where he was sedated and intubated while undergoing lung cleaning.

The good news is, that the former MMA world champion is victorious in this battle as well, as in a recent video posted by MMA reporter Aaron Bronsteter, Coleman is seen alert, spending quality time with his daughters Morgan and Kenzie.
“I’m the happiest man in the world,” said Coleman in the video. “Sweet God, I’m so lucky. I can’t believe my parents are alive. … I had to make a decision, Wes. Because I got out of my room and went to the door and it was already horrible. I couldn’t breathe. I almost had to go outside and I went back in and got them. I can’t believe I got them but I couldn’t find (our dog) Hammer.”
Great news to start the day.
Per his Facebook page, Mark Coleman is responsive, talking and laughing with his family.

Mark Coleman’s daughters, who are seen overwhelmed with joy to see their father conscious, had started a GoFundMe campaign with a target of $100,000 to aid the UFC Hall of Famer’s recovery process. So far, over $91,000 have been raised.
This is not the first time that the former UFC champ has been seen on a hospital bed. Back in November 2020, Coleman had suffered a heart attack and had to be hospitalized, after which he made a speedy recovery.
