Mark Zuckerberg tore his ACL and required surgery. His injuries forced the postponement of a flight that was supposed to take place early in the new year.

During the coronavirus outbreak, Mark began training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts. May 2023 marked the completion of his first competition.

Mark Zuckerberg took to Instagram to announce his injury

Mark took to Instagram to announce the news. “Tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it. Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me. I was training for a competitive MMA fight early next year, but now that’s delayed a bit. Still looking forward to doing it after I recover. Thanks to everyone for the love and support,” he wrote, posting a series of his photos from the hospital.

Elon Musk had previously asked Mark to a cage fight, which Mark had agreed. According to Dana White, president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), both guys took the fight seriously.

Elon and Mark trained with boxers after the challenge. On August 13, Mark openly declined Elon’s invitation to practice fighting in his backyard.
