UFC bantamweight Marlon Vera has a quirky reaction to the news that Henry Cejudo has decided to pull out of their slated UFC 292 showdown.

Well, f**k: Marlon Vera responds to Henry Cejudo’s withdrawal

After coming out of his three year retirement against the reigning 135-pound champ Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288 last month, in which Cejudo suffered a loss, there were speculations that the veteran would be calling it quits altogether.

However, those rumors were shut down when the former double champ’s next outing in the Octagon was announced by the UFC to be against Vera at UFC 292, the same event which will also feature Sterling defending his belt in the main event against Sean O’Malley.

Unfortunately, the fight would be called off due to Cejudo sustaining a nasty injury on his right shoulder that may require surgery and 6-8 weeks of recovery. Through a video message posted across his social media accounts, Cejudo made the announcement.

“Guys I’m here to make an announcement. Due to my right shoulder, I won’t be able to fight,” said Cejudo. “Guys, I’ve already torn my left shoulder where I was out for about a year. I don’t want to tear it further than it already is, that being said. I mean, there is a tear in there guys, the cat is out of the bag. It is actually a 50% tear, but the way it’s torn, it’s like a filet… Six to eight weeks [of recovery]. I stretched out to as long as I possibly could because I love that ‘Chito’ Vera matchup, and for those that really know me, know I’m all about the money, that I’m all about competing.” [H/T BJPenn.com]

In the wake of Cejudo’s announcement, a disappointed “Chito” responded with just two words.

“Well, f**k,” Vera uttered in a short six second clip where he is seen driving his car.

Not too long after, Vera called out Petr Yan.

“Yan step up,” Vera tweeted.

Vera is coming off a split decision loss against Cory Sandhagen at UFC San Antonio back in March which ended his four fight win streak and is aiming for a winning comeback. Yan, on the other hand, has suffered three back to back losees and is desperate for a victory in his next outing, and a fight between both would serve each othe right and can also get them close to a future title shot.
