Max Holloway recently made waves with his incredible knockout victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 300. Not only did he secure the “BMF” (Baddest Motherf*****) title, but he also pocketed a hefty $600,000 in post-fight bonuses. Holloway’s accomplishments in the promotion are already noteworthy—he has held both the interim and undisputed UFC featherweight championships and is now the “BMF” champion.
But what’s next for Max Holloway? In an appearance on the JRE MMA Show, he outlined his plans for upcoming fights. His ideal scenario involves regaining the featherweight championship and then setting the stage for a massive winner-takes-all showdown at 155 pounds. Here’s what he said:
“In a perfect world for me, it would be to fight Ilia [Topuria for the featherweight title], get my hand raised, and whoever’s the next guy up at 155, fight them. Try to go for double champ status…or even three belts. Do [featherweight], the ‘BMF,’ and then put the ‘BMF’ and the [lightweight title] against whoever at 155, and that’d be surreal. I think that’d be crazy.”

Max Holloway opens up on his goals in life
Max Holloway’s ambition to hold three UFC championships isn’t far-fetched. His recent win over the No. 3 ranked lightweight, Justin Gaethje, earned him a spot in the lightweight rankings at No. 9. If he becomes a two-time featherweight champion, he could leverage that achievement to secure a lightweight title shot. Additionally, putting his “BMF” title on the line could make the prospect even more enticing for both the lightweight champion and the promotion.
Max Holloway’s determination to chase greatness is evident. As he once declared, “I told everyone I got five titles at home. No one is gonna ever be able to take that from me, but the goal is straight. Don’t get it wrong. I’m going to go get my sixth title, my seventh title, my eighth title, and so on, so on”.
