Fans were amused to see old photos of Gaethje and Max, where they wore dresses that instigated questions of their association with the LGTBQ+ community.

The photos went viral on social media, as fans flocked to the post made by @MmaUnderdogs to send in their reactions.
“The “B” in LGBTQ stands for “BMF Title””– wrote one fan.

Last Halloween, Max Holloway and his partner Alessa Quizon embraced a gender-bender theme, swapping outfits to humorously portray each other. The ‘Blessed’ Max Holloway, sported one of his wife’s dresses, while his wife dressed up in Max’s UFC themed attire. Justin Gaethje, on the other hand, ended up wearing a blue crepe maxi swing dress as part of a Fantasy Football bet punishment with his friends.

Furthermore, a quirky incident from UFC 218 has added a humorous touch to their matchup. During the weigh-ins for UFC 218, Gaethje, volunteering to hold the towel for Holloway, nearly exposed the former champion’s genitals by raising the towel, blocking the scale’s view. Gaethje, weighing in right after Holloway, made an executive decision to expedite the process rather than having Holloway go through the trouble of dressing and undressing again. Holloway acknowledged the incident, jokingly referring to it as “towelgate,” creating a light-hearted beef for promotional purposes.

Justin Gaethje is the current UFC BMF Champion after he beat Dustin Poirier via a dead kick KO in the 1st minute of the 2nd round back in UFC 291. Max Holloway is coming off a win over The Korean Zombie via punches in late August. Justin has the reputation of being one of the most violent fighters and Max is known for his boxing skills and durable chin. Stylistically a bad matchup for Max, but the fighters would surely put up a fight to remember.
