The young and highly talented UFC women’s flyweight Maycee Barber is one of the most prominent prospects in all of UFC with many pundits even including the former Olympian Ben Askren touting her to become one of the most dominant athletes in women’s MMA. Barber who has surely had her fair share of exciting fights recently revealed in an interview that instead of having exciting fights, she wants to have more dominant one-sided victories.
Barber recently told Jimmy Smith in an interview given to MMA on SiriusXM radio that she wants to maul people in one-sided fights. Here’s what she had to say:
I don’t necessarily want exciting fights. I want one-sided brawls. I’m going out there and mauling these girls. So I want to go out there and just dominate people and to a lot of people that is not something very exciting. It is exciting at one end but to the other person, it is not.
I just went out there (against Gillian Robertson) and put on a clinic. There was not even any competition when I went out there against Gillian. These are girls that a lot of people thought were tough opponents.
