McGregor warns Cerrone of the ‘power’ in his left hand after his coach’s comments

Conor McGregor will step inside the Octagon after a layoff of fifteen months when he steps in to fight the man with the most wins in UFC history, Donald Cerrone.  Conor’s record hasn’t been very impressive lately. He has fought only once after becoming the first double champ in UFC history. And that fight ended with him tapping out to his arch enemy, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Despite all this, Cowboy’s coach has been very optimistic about his disciple’s chances against the Irishman.

Donald Cerrone’s head coach Jafari Vanier believes that McGregor is a one dimensional fighter. According to him, if Cerrone manages to stay away from the left hand of ‘Mystic Mac’, then that amplifies the chances of him coming out on top. That is because Cowboy is a multi dimensional fighter who has racked up wins with a variety of ways. This includes wins by punches, head kicks, submissions, ground and pound to name a few.

When McGregor caught word of the statement by Cerrone’s coach he made it a point to remind everyone of his prowess. He took to Instagram live to share a picture of him on Instagram live with the caption, “A reminder not to mess with the power in @thenotoriousmma’s left hand.”

Conor’s coach John Kavanagh has already stated that this is the best shape in which he has seen him. And if that he is assumed to be true then, Cowboy will have to be wary of the initial rounds when Conor comes out of the gates. It was in that time span only that Conor landed his left hand on the likes of Jose Aldo, Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier.

Even Cowboy’s record hasn’t been very impressive of late. He will be coming into the fight trying to prevent a hat-trick of losses. He has lost his previous two fights against Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje. However, this situation probably best describes the warrior that he is. Even in face of adversity, Cowboy has maintained his love for the game. Moreover, he hasn’t said no to the toughest contender that is available for him at the moment.
