Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor and former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum traded verbals jabs at each other over the Bellator Drug testing issue.
UFC champion Conor McGregor thinks Bellator needs to implement a more comprehensive drug testing policy. For better or worse, the UFC has had an enhanced drug testing policy for nearly half a decade through its partnership with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). The system has received justifiable criticism over the years, but it has certainly clamped down on those trying to skirt the rules with performance-enhancing drugs.
Bellator, meanwhile, remained content with following state commission guidelines and has not implemented an enhanced policy with a third party like USADA. Bellator president Scott Coker has said repeatedly he holds faith in the regulatory bodies that oversee his events.
It is crazy to think @BellatorMMA still do not have a performance enhancing drug testing system in place. It is long overdue time the promotion adopts a reputable testing body in order to keep it’s clean athletes safe! https://t.co/G4w3vzv7mE

Fabricio and McGregor Twitter battle
Fabricio Werdum interpreted the above Tweet as a shot at Cris Cyborg, and he immediately went to defend the Bellator champion.
Losers always will try to find excuses. Champions work very hard and don’t distracted by ants. @CyborgsGloves Is a living legend McGregor is filha-da-puta HEY https://t.co/2duYMLwu5m

Huh? I did not mention Cris whatsoever. Nothing to do with Cris at all. It is a request to the promotion, as a top tier one, to up its PED testing program. As currently there is zero in place. This is a dangerous business and to take a lax stance here, at this level, is wrong.

Actually wait! Aren’t you currently banned for steroids right now?
And got your sentenced reduced for ratting other people? And also just recently signed to this promotion I speak of? Woah.
Man, fuck you.
My lord, what a business this is.— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) October 24, 2020
McGregor expressed his confusion, seeing as he never mentioned Cyborg in the original tweet. However, when McGregor considered Fabricio Werdum’s own past with USADA, he went on the offensive.

McGregor replied: They never fought. I train Sinead. I manage Cris. Both tremendously gifted warriors. This is not about either! Or any of the roster for that matter. It is about the promotion itself stepping up to the plate, as one of the top tier organizations
in MMA, and upping its testing.
An alcoholic and a Coke head should not worry about testing anything @ScottCoker always do a good job

Werdum further replied ‘An alcoholic and a Coke head should not worry about testing anything @ScottCoker always do a good job.’
The back and forth battle between these two looks like has come to an end but the main issue remains unanswered is the Bellator Drug Testing.
