From sports and education to sales and reality TV, India’s Niraj Puran Rao has shown the grit and perseverance it takes to succeed in both personal and professional life.
He’ll now take those traits to “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” and compete for a one-year, US$250,000 contract to work as ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong’s protege at the company’s headquarters in Singapore.
Before Rao contends in the high-stakes game of business and physical challenges with the 15 other candidates, let’s take a look at the defining accomplishments in his career to date.
Niraj Rao started off as a professional soccer player in India, where he forged a resilient mindset. But unable to make ends meet through the sport, he turned to business and earned an MBA in Sports Management.
Shortly after, in 2017, Niraj competed on India’s “Asli Champion” to strut his physical and mental wares on national television.
One year later, due to a growing love for health and fitness, the India native founded JOATFIT, an online fitness company to promote healthier living.
Then, to further refine his business savvy, Niraj Rao became part of the sales team for India’s International Health, Sports & Fitness Festival in 2019.
With those accomplishments in his back pocket, it’s no wonder why the fitness fanatic wants to take his mission to ONE Championship.
Standing in his way, however, will be candidates from 10 other countries: Singapore, New Zealand, United States, Japan, Russia, Germany, Venezuela, Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand.
Will the man from India overcome his next big challenge in life? Find out when “The Apprentice: ONE Champion Edition” premieres on 18 March.
