Michael Bisping, the former UFC middleweight champion, believes Conor McGregor would be flawless in fitting into the WWE sphere.

I can see Conor McGregor in the WWE: Michael Bisping

Without a doubt, the name that has gained the most fame in the world from MMA is Conor McGregor. The Irishman, who is a former UFC double champion at both featherweight and lightweight, is well known for his vivid persona, even outside the Octagon which has made him such a popular figure in sports.

Considering WWE, or professional wrestling in general, “The Notorious” is highly expected to be successful and backed by his own massive fan following, the sport can potentially gain a fresh crowd of fans.

Michael Bisping, speaking to Betway in a recent interview, opines the same, as he believes those who watch him in the UFC would also do the same if he switches to WWE, which he also believes would thrive well in the latter as well.

“I can see Conor in the WWE, it’s all the same company these days. He’s a massive star,” said Bisping. “So if people want to watch him in MMA, they’ll want to watch him in the WWE, I think that’s a safe bet for him as well.”

“You don’t want to take punches to the head forever. He’s a born entertainer. I can see that as a very natural fit,” he added.

Combat sports has already had its biggest UFC to WWE switches in the past- Ronda Rousey, the former UFC bantamweight champ who switched sides with the pro wrestling top dog in 2017, and since then has become one of the biggest superstars in WWE of all time. However, there are rumors floating that “Rowdy” is considering a return back to the UFC.
