UFC legend Michael Bisping recently made a bold prediction regarding Conor McGregor’s potential shot at three titles in the UFC. Despite facing criticism from fans, Bisping remains steadfast, asserting that he is merely stating the facts.

Conor McGregor is set to make his highly anticipated return to the octagon at UFC 303 on June 29. He will face Michael Chandler in a five-round, 170-pound bout. McGregor has previously expressed his intention to compete for the welterweight title, potentially challenging the winner of Leon Edwards’ title defense against Belal Muhammad at UFC 304 in July. Additionally, McGregor has two other opportunities to capture UFC gold, as BMF champion Max Holloway and current UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev have both expressed their willingness to face him.

Michael Bisping’s Take

In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Michael Bisping discussed McGregor’s current scenario. According to the former two-division champion, McGregor could be eligible to contend for not one, not two, but three different titles with a win over Chandler. Bisping humorously remarked, “F**kin hell, he comes back after three years, breaks his leg, becomes a movie star, and now he can fight for three different belts.”

Fans have criticized Bisping’s prediction, questioning whether McGregor truly deserves such opportunities after his recent losses and extended absence from the octagon. However, Bisping remains unfazed, emphasizing that he is merely presenting the facts as an experienced analyst of the sport.

Conor McGregor’s Journey

McGregor’s journey has been eventful. After suffering a leg injury during his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier in July 2021, he underwent surgeries and rehabilitation. His return to full-contact training in 2023 signaled his readiness to compete again. Although his fight against Chandler was initially scheduled for 2023, various factors led to its postponement. McGregor’s recent record stands at 2-3 in his last five fights, including two losses to Poirier. Chandler, on the other hand, faced defeat via submission in Round 3 against Poirier at UFC 281.

Michael Bisping’s Advice

Michael Bisping has urged Michael Chandler not to underestimate Conor McGregor ahead of their fight at UFC 303. Despite the criticism surrounding the matchup, Bisping believes that McGregor’s return is significant and that fans should appreciate the opportunity to witness this high-stakes clash in the octagon.
