Gilbert Burns has dropped a hint that Michael Chandler is UFC bound after USADA showed up to the gym. Michael Chandler, one of the most looming lightweights, has been an eminent persona of the Bellator MMA since 2010. However, it seems that ‘Iron’ Chandler is finally done with the promotion.
After becoming a free-agent, Chandler made the following statement :
“I think it’s just this culmination of 10 years. People wanted to see me fight in the UFC in 2011 whenever I beat Eddie Alvarez and every time my contract comes up, people want to see me fight in the UFC. Now ONE FC is a huge player, Eddie Alvarez is over there. PFL is a huge player because they have an emerging organization because they have those million-dollar tournaments. Tons of options and I just couldn’t be happier.”
Ever since Chandler knocked out Benson Henderson and became a free agent many wondered what would be next for him. Many fans wanted to see him compete in the UFC and it appears those fans might be getting their wish as Burns posted a video of USADA at the gym followed by him showing Michael Chandler smiling. The video shows a smiling Chandler making his way into the office as members of USADA awaits. The clip did not reveal much, but Burns’ caption is worth taking a note.

Michael Chandler: Next UFC Champion?
If Michael Chandler wants to make the jump to the UFC, promotion President Dana White is certainly willing to listen.
Speaking at the UFC 252 post-fight press conference, White had some high praise for the Bellator lightweight, who is a three-time champion in the rival promotion. Chandler recently stated that he was looking for a meeting with the UFC brass, while he navigates the waters of free agency for what could be the final time in his career.
“I would love to meet with him. Yeah. That guy’s earned it, man,” White said when asked about Chandler’s request. “I’d love to meet with him.”
Well, if Chandler actually lands up in the UFC, it will be a treat for the fight fans. ‘Iron’ Chandler has been a champion in the Bellator, boasting a pro-record of 21-5. He can test himself against some of the best lightweights of the world, by entering the UFC roster. The lightweight roster in UFC is filled with some legit hard-hitters and Chandler can only deepen the roster with his entry.
