Michael Chandler has yet again sent a bold message to Conor McGregor as the former continues to encourage the Irishman for a fight at the milestone UFC 300 event. The historic event is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on April 13 and is expected to feature massive bouts. As we get closer to the show, there is a possibility that Conor McGregor might be on the card.
McGregor has been on the shelf since 2021 after consecutive losses to former interim champion Dustin Poirier and sustained a horrific leg injury during the trilogy bout.
Meanwhile, Chandler also did not compete in the last year, and his last appearance was in November 2022, which was also a loss to Poirier at UFC 281.
UFC 300 main event is yet to be announced but the UFC CEO Dana White has confirmed several high-profile matchups like Justin Gaethje vs. Max Holloway, Holly Holm vs. Kayla Harrison, Zhang Weili vs. Yan Xiaonan, Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan, Jiri Prochazka vs. Aleksandar Rakic, Aljamain Sterling vs. Calvin Kattar, Cody Garbrandt vs. Deiveson Figueiredo and Bo Nickal vs. Cody Brundage.
More matches will be added soon. Michael Chandler has been vocal about facing Conor McGregor at UFC 300 as ‘Iron’ is expected to welcome back ‘Notorious’ in the octagon.
Michael Chandler persuades Conor McGregor to return at UFC 300
Taking to Twitter/X, Chandler sent out the following message for McGregor:
“I get it. He’s coming off an injury, so that said, now that @TheNotoriousMMA is healthy…the question is, why wouldn’t it be #ufc300 ? It’s been 2.5 years… Get off the yacht kid…”

This comes after Chandler dropped a tease about UFC 300 main event when he referred to the empty main event slot and wrote:
“T B D.”
Meanwhile, McGregor suggested that he is the final piece of the puzzle to take the UFC 300. He wrote:
“McGregor on 300 seals the deal.”
Chandler seemingly accepted a fight against McGregor as he had quote-tweeted the Irishman’s post and accepted a fight at UFC 300. ‘Iron’ wrote:
“I accept [handshake emoji] See you soon @TheNotoriousMMA #ufc300”
Earlier this year, McGregor stated that he expects to fight Chandler in a middleweight bout on June 29 during International Fight Week. However, that showdown is likely to take place at UFC 300.
We will have to wait and see if the battle materializes.
