Michael Chandler’s pursuit of Conor McGregor continues, and it has now gone beyond the realm of the UFC.
This week’s WWE Monday Night Raw, which took place in Anaheim two days after UFC 298, had Chandler in attendance. Known for his charisma with the mic, the UFC lightweight took to the ring to cut an awesome promo- a fresh new callout to his longtime grudge rival- McGregor.
“Hey, what’s up Anaheim? Hey, you are now in the presence of the most entertaining UFC fighter on the planet. There is a man from Ireland that has been making me wait for way too long, and I still got one dude on my mind. Conor McGregor get your candy ass back to the Octagon! We got some unfinished business boy. God bless. I’ll see you at the top,” said Chandler.

Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler- what the future holds
A fight between McGregor and Chandler has remained to be one of the most anticipated matchups. For over a year, Chandler has been making multiple callouts towards his Irish adversary, who had even competed against him as an opposing coach on The Ultimate Fighter.
McGregor himself has also been positive on taking Chandler’s challenge and on New Year’s Eve, dropped a surprise announcement on social media that a fight between the two has been in the making for June 29th this year. Unfortunately, it was Dana White himself who poured cold water over the fight claims.
And now, following UFC 298 last weekend, the UFC prez stated that he doubts whether McGregor will ever be back in the UFC Octagon again, let alone lock horns with Chandler in the future.
“First problem was that he broke that shin bone. He was recovering from that. That was one of the reasons. The other problem is he’s f*****g rich… Conor McGregor’s got a lot of money. Any time we get Conor, we’ll be happy. You know, we’ll be thrilled when he comes and fights. Money complicates a lot of things. He just filmed a movie. He’s got to do the press for the movie, and he’s got obligations with that. He does want to fight this year, but we’ll see what happens,” White said at the UFC 298 post fight press conference.
