Michael ‘Venom’ Page has stormed onto the UFC welterweight scene like an asteroid.
Born on April 7, 1987, in London, England, Page (22-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) boasts an unorthodox fighting style that blends freestyle kickboxing and sport karate. His journey has taken him from kickboxing to boxing, bare-knuckle boxing, Bellator MMA and now to the UFC, where he has just made his debut.
“MVP” holds the 13th spot in the current UFC welterweight rankings. Standing tall at 6 feet 3 inches, his signature attributes include distance control, showboating, and a penchant for highlight-reel knockouts. Competing in the 170 pound division, Page’s aim now lays on the ultimate prize: the UFC Welterweight Championship.

Page has competed under the Bellator MMA banner for the majority of his professional mixed martial arts career, where he has recorded 17 wins and only two losses.
Page made his much anticipated promotional debut at UFC 299 on March 9th in Miami and put his skills up for display. Facing the veteran Kevin Holland, Page combined his kickboxing prowess with strategic distance management, securing a unanimous decision victory. His flashy style and ability to entertain the crowd make him a fan favourite, while many are already seeing him securing a title contender spot within this year itself.
However, the path to championship glory is arduous. Page must be calculated in his nagivations of the UFC welterweight division- one of the most stacked division that includes formidable opponents like Kamaru Usman, Colby Covington, and Jorge Masvidal and last but not the least- Leon Edwards at the 170-pound throne.
While Page’s striking acumen and creativity set him apart, consistency and grappling defence will be crucial for his title aspirations, as the ladder he needs to climb is no walk in the park- with former title challengers are champions alike standing in his way. Although Page was a formidable name in the Bellator roster, there’s much for him to accomplish in the Octagon still to be earning that status in MMA’s top-dog promotion.
In the ever-evolving landscape of MMA, Michael ‘Venom’ Page remains an intriguing contender. Suppose he continues to hone his skills, adapt to different opponents, and maintain his unorthodox flair. In that case, we may witness him ascend to the pinnacle of the 170-pound division—a future UFC Welterweight Champion in the making.
