MMA fans weren’t tired to keep waiting for the highly anticipated UFC debut of Michael ‘Venom’ Page (22-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) but the fighter himself admits to have been tired on his promotional debut.

An applauding UFC debut, which has’t satisfied Michael ‘Venom’ Page himself

The former Bellator MMA superstar made his inception into the Octagon on 9th March at UFC 299 in Miami when he took on the veteran welterweight Kevin Holland as his first UFC opponent.

In a dominating fashion, “MVP” secured a unanimous decision victory, exciting fans as a weighty addition to the 170-pound roster, as well as a potential future championship contender.

While his win over Holland was praised well all around, it appears that Page himself was not satisfied on how he performed in the cage that night, as his words in a recent video on his official YouTube channel insist that he was not at his full capabilities.

“I swear to you this was not one of my best performances, by far,” Page said in the clip. “This was almost a tired version of myself.”

While the Brit indicates he was not at his best showing, the fight showed an utterly overpowering performance over Holland. Page completely out shunned Holland in the striking department, and while the latter made his attempts on the ground, Page’s all-rounder skills made sure he was the one who won on all three judges’ cards.

Further in the video, Page stated that he’s eager to get to his full potential- which would spell worry for the rest of the welterweight division.

“I can’t wait to get to 100% myself because seriously, everyone’s in trouble,” he added.

On X (formerly Twitter), Championship Rounds shared a part from the video where Page talks about his dissatisfaction towards his own UFC 299 showing. Check it out below-
