UFC 245 absolutely lived up to the hype that people had expected it to. The three title fights delievered up-to their expectations despite two of them going the distance. However, even before the main card had gone underway, the fights on the preliminary card kept the viewers engaged. One such card on the prelims was between Mike Perry and Geoff Neal.

A welterweight clash between the two had the fans on their feet for the while it lasted. Mike Perry was coming off a loss against Vincent Luque. Despite the loss, a picture of his broken nose had made the rounds. It was symbolic of the toughness that the Michigan native had imbibed in him. Maybe it was the same toughness that had prevented him from being knocked out in his professional mixed martial arts career.

Things were, however, about to be changed for the worse for him when he shared the Octagon with a surging contender in Geoff Neal. The Dana White Contender Series veteran was determined to leave his mark and make a statement while he made his way inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Perry came flying out of the gates and took the fight to Neal. The latter immediately returned the favor catching Perry with a massive head kick. That marked the beginning of the end of the fight. “Handz of Steel” pressured up on Perry and the referee had to intervene.

The fight last merely for a total time of 90 seconds. It was the first time that Perry had been knocked out in his career. After the fight he took to Twitter to vent out his frustration for the lack of offense on his part.

“Phok bro. Wtf , my offense wasn’t there. Damn if I don’t feel like a dumbass. Kids don’t be like me. It’s dangerous when you seem to enjoy getting hit in the face , But Still , I will be back in the gym to drill moves to kill until my team feels I’ll bring the thrills ! Thanks”

With the loss, he is now 1-3 in his last four fights. On the other hand, Neal will now move up in the welterweight rankings and will get the oppoartunity to test himself against tougher opponents.
