The former ONE Championship welterweight champion Ben Askren on finally his much hyped and long awaited coming over to the UFC was expected to take the UFC welterweight division by storm. He was already being touted as one of the best fighters in the division who would certainly challenge for the belt and might even become a UFC champion. However, unfortunately for Ben, things haven’t quite worked out as planned. Askren got brutally KOed via a flying knee by Jorge Masvidal in just his second fight inside the octagon. Askren has now been challenged by Mike Perry.

Perry called out Askren over on Twitter stating that they both took a heavy knee to the face and will be on the sidelines for a while now. Thus, it makes sense for them to fight each other, he also made a challenge that whoever wins should donate $20,000 to a charity of the loser’s choice. Here’s what he had to say:

Since we both took a knee have to sit out and like to talk how about we start the talk for @Benaskren vs myself and take a stand for charity at the same time. Winner donates 20 grand to a charity of the losers choosing. Or I stay quiet and wait for the cards to play out.
