Last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW aired live from the XL Center in Hartford, CT. This edition of RAW was to kick-start the Superstar Shake-up in the WWE that would see numerous Superstars switch brands.

The first night of the Superstar Shake-up had its fair share of shocking moments

The Modern Day Maharaja Looks To Reign on the Red Brand:

  • The show was opened by General Manager Kurt Angle who hyped up the Superstar Shake-up and all the shocking moments that come with it.
  • Kurt was interrupted by Sunil Singh who introduced the newest member of Monday Night RAW, the United States Champion Jinder Mahal.
  • Jinder came out and a cut a promo about how he wants the same perks as the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.
  • Kurt Angle went on to make an impromptu United States Championship match between Jinder Mahal and…

The Charismatic Enigma Completes the Grandest of Slams:

  • Angle announced that the challenger to Jinder’s title would be Jeff Hardy.
  • Hardy and Mahal had a great match before Hardy hit the Twist of Fate followed by a Swanton Bomb.
  • Jeff Hardy def. Jinder Mahal to become the NEW United States Champion.
  • With this, Hardy completed the prestigious grand slam in the WWE.

RAW is Riott Territory:

  • Sasha Banks and Bayley came out for their singles match that had been hyped up for months.
  • Sasha Banks def Bayley via DQ after the Riott Squad from SmackDown LIVE made it known that they have arrived on RAW.
  • Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan continued their vicious beatdown on Banks and left her laid out.

The Authors of Pain Pen A New Chapter Of Destruction On Their Own:

  • Heath Slater and Rhyno cut a promo on their opponents, Authors of Pain before their match.
  • However, Authors of Pain def. Heath Slater and Rhyno in a very quick match.
  • This was AOP’s first match without their former manager, Paul Ellering.

The Birth Of A New Faction?:

  • Miz did his Miz TV segment and claimed that his guests are performers who will change the landscape of the red brand.
  • Miz introduced Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn who made their way down to the ring joyously.
  • However, their segment was cut short when Kurt Angle interrupted them and said that they are not signed.
  • Kevin and Sami said that they were given a RAW Contract by Stephanie McMahon herself.

The GOAT Awaits The A-Lister On The Blue Brand: 

  • However, Kurt asked Kevin and Sami to say goodbye to the Miz.
  • Kurt explained that former General Manager Daniel Bryan had requested him to draft Miz to SmackDown because the two have unfinished business to take care of.
  • Kurt also said that the Miztourage will not be drafted to SmackDown with The Miz.

The Deleters of Worlds Earn A Shot at Tag Team Gold:

  • In the finals of the Tag Team Eliminator tourney, it was Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt vs The Revival.
  • Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt def. The Revival and will now face the Bar at the Greatest Royal Rumble for the vacant RAW Tag Team Titles.

The Eclipse Has Dawned Upon RAW: 

  • Ember Moon def. Mickie James in a singles match.
  • For this match, WWE RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax was on commentary.

The Prodigal Son Comes Back Home: 

  • Dolph Ziggler came out and revealed that he will now be a part of RAW.
  • Ziggler was about to cut a promo when he was interrupted by Titus Worldwide.
  • However, a returning Drew McIntyre came in and attacked Titus Worldwide alongside Ziggler, confirming their alliance.

Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe partook in a similar segment from last week and a fight was teased but never happened.

Rousey Teams up With An Ally: 

  • Natalya, who is now a part of RAW, came out for her match with Absolution’s Mandy Rose.
  • Natalya def. Mandy Rose via submission. 
  • After the match, Rose and her fellow stable member Sonya Deville attacked Natalya.
  • However, Ronda Rousey made the save and drove the two away.
  • Deville challenged Rousey but ended up biting the dust after Rousey obliterated her.

The Fashion Police Steal The Bar’s Thunder: 

  • The Fashion Police, Tyler Breeze and Fandango will now be a part of the Red Brand.
  • The duo faced the Bar, Cesaro and Sheamus in a tag team match.
  • The Fashion Police def. The Bar and pulled off a surprise victory on their first night on RAW.

The Miz gets a painful farewell: 

  • Time for the Main Event. The team of The Miz, The Miztourage, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were to go up against the team of Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins and a mystery partner.
  • The mystery partner was none other than the Glorious Bobby Roode, who made his RAW debut with this match.
  • Finn Balor, Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman and Bobby Roode def. The Miz, The Miztourage, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. 
  • The Miz was left all by himself by The Miztourage and Kevin and Sami which led to him being preyed upon by the Monster Among Men, who sent him straight to SmackDown LIVE.
