MMA India’s SmackDown LIVE Roundup: 4/4/2018

Last night’s episode of SmackDown Live aired from Nashville, Tennesse. Matches advertised for this event were Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles vs Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin and Rusev vs Jinder Mahal.

The King of Strong Style and the Phenomenal One team up one last time before their showdown at WrestleMania

Here are some of the highlights from last night’s show:

  • SmackDown Live’s General Manager Daniel Bryan opened last night’s show by welcoming his tag team partner come Sunday, Shane McMahon.
  • Shane congratulated Bryan on his clearing and cut a promo on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Bryan apologized to Shane for some of his errors and hugged it out with him.
  • Shane and Daniel claim that they will make sure that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are no longer associated with SmackDown come Sunday.
  • Charlotte Flair def. Natalya (via submission). After the match, Asuka came to the ring and cut a promo on Charlotte and the latter did the same.
  • Rusev def. Jinder Mahal (via pinfall). After the match, Randy Orton hit an RKO on Rusev and then on Aiden English. The segment ended with Randy Orton and Bobby Roode facing off in the ring.
  • Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley, Primo and Dolph Ziggler def. Tyler Breeze, Fandango, Zack Ryder and Tye Dillinger (via pinfall). 
  • Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn trespassed into the arena and cut a promo on Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan. Eventually, their mics were muted and they ran back through the crowd as Daniel and Shane made their way to the ring.
  • AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura def. Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin (via pinfall). After the match, Styles teased a Phenomenal Forearm on Nakamura which made the latter flinch. However, Styles went back to the ring and gave Nakamura a pat on the head.


WWE: AJ Styles wants to face the Undertaker or Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania.
