Last night’s SmackDown LIVE saw the second half of the Superstar Shake-up. Number of Superstars made their shifts, returns and debuts to the blue brand in this special edition of SmackDown LIVE.

Night two of the Superstar Shake-Up ended in a stacked blue roster

Here are some of the highlights from last night’s show:

AJ Styles Wants To Expose The Con-Artist That is Shinsuke Nakamura: 

  • AJ Styles opened last night’s show and cut a great promo on his nemesis, Shinsuke Nakamura.
  • Styles called Nakamura a “con-artist” and demanded a fight instead of a conversation.
  • However, Styles was interrupted by Aiden English.
  • Out came Rusev and English who cut a heel promo on Providence and challenged Styles for a match.
  • AJ Styles def. Rusev via DQ after Aiden English quickly interfered and attacked Styles.
  • The two continued the beatdown before Daniel Bryan came out to make the save and cleared the ring.

The US Title Stays on The Blue Brand: 

  • Shelton Benjamin came out and addressed his separation from Chad Gable.
  • Benjamin said he never needed Gable and asked for some competition to step up to him.
  • Music hit and out came Randy Orton who looked ready for a fight.
  • However, Orton’s music was cut short and out came the newly crowned United States Champion Jeff Hardy who will now compete on SmackDown.
  • Jeff Hardy def. Shelton Benjamin via pinfall. 

The Usos get Bludgeoned by Harper and Rowan: 

  • Up next was a singles match up between Jey Uso and Luke Harper who were accompanied by Jimmy Uso and Eric Rowan respectively.
  • Luke Harper def. Jey Uso in a very quick match.
  • After the match, Harper and Rowan laid out the Usos and were getting ready to beat them up with their mallets.
  • However, Naomi, Jimmy Uso’s wife, came out and pleaded the Bludgeon Brothers to stop their intended massacre.
  • The Bludgeon Brother obliged and left the ring.

The Destroyer Invades The Land of Opportunities: 

  • Samoa Joe made his SmackDown LIVE debut as a part of the Superstar Shake-Up in a match against Sin Cara.
  • Samoa Joe def. Sin Cara via submission. 
  • After the match, Joe cut a promo on the entire SmackDown locker room and put big names like AJ Styles, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan on notice.
  • Joe also hyped up his matches at the Greatest Royal Rumble and Backlash.

A Giant Makes his Return: 

  • Big Cass finally made his return in a backstage segment with Daniel Bryan.
  • The 7 feet tall monster called Daniel Bryan a “little man” and left without saying much.

A Coronation for the Princess: 

  • Carmella came out to the ring for her Championship celebration and cut a promo on Charlotte.
  • Charlotte interrupted Carmella’s celebration and talked trash about her cash-in from last week.
  • Soon, the IIconics came out and called Charlotte a failure and a cry baby before attacking her.
  • However, Charlotte’s friend, Becky Lynch ran down to the ring and made the save.
  • Charlotte Flair def. Billie Kay 
  • After the match, Billie, Peyton and Carmella took out Flair and Lynch and commenced a vicious assault.
  • Music hit and out came the newest member of Team Blue, Asuka who made the save and cleared the ring.

An Uncanny Alliance?

  • AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan took on Rusev and Aiden English in the main event of last night’s show.
  • The match was great until Shinsuke Nakamura ran down from the audience and hit AJ Styles with a low blow.
  • Daniel Bryan looked to make the save but he was met with a big boot out of nowhere by Big Cass.
  • Cass stood tall in the ring while Nakamura made his way to the back.
  • Nakamura was asked for an answer for his actions by Renee Young but he once again answered by saying: “No Speak English”.
