Just minutes after Colby Covington defeated Tyron Woodley in the UFC Vegas 11 main event on Saturday night, U.S. President Donald Trump rang him up on the phone to congratulate him.

Frank Mir signs with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir has reportedly signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
FightBananas.com was the first to report the signing of Mir to BKFC. Mir follows a long list of former UFC fighters such as Paige VanZant, Thiago Alves, and Hector Lombard who have been signed with BKFC.
Mir, 41, spent fifteen-years with the UFC, making his debut with a submission win over Roberto Traven at UFC 34 and lasting until 2016.

Veteran fighter John Dodson released from UFC
Two-time title flyweight contender and The Ultimate Fighter 14 champion John Dodson has been released from the UFC.
Dodson’s manager, Albuquerque’s Ricky Kottenstette, confirmed the fighter’s release on Friday.
Dodson’s exit from the UFC comes after he spent nearly an entire decade with the promotion following his win on TUF in 2011.
He held a record of 22-12-0 in his MMA career.

Michael Chandler signs with the UFC
Dana White announced that UFC has finally signed former Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler and that he would be serving as a backup for UFC 254 main event.
Michael Chandler became a free agent after scoring a first-round knockout victory over former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson at Bellator 243 this summer. While he expressed interest in signing with both the PFL and ONE Championship, it was clear that he was also very excited about a potential move to the UFC.

Khabib Nurmagomedov says he cannot be compared with Muhammad Ali
The Undisputed UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov shared his thoughts on the comparison made with the great Muhammad Ali and said it’s wrong.
The Russian Champ Nurmagomedov is a devoted Muslim and regularly practices his faith outside the octagon. Khabib is often compared to Ali, who went through similar struggles in his career and life due to his religion and race. Khabib Nurmagomedov is himself regarded as one of the best in his sport, however, when compared with the late boxing legend, Nurmagomodov does not like the idea and says that it is “Inappropriate”.
