Michael ‘Venom’ Page recently signed a new contract with Bellator MMA and is now eager to fight his bitter rival Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley. In a recent interview given to ESPN, Page stated that his new contract with the MMA promotion will also allow him to focus on his professional boxing career. He also told ESPN that he is also desperate to face Daley in the first round of Bellator’s welterweight tournament.

Here’s what he had to say:

The contract is for six fights and 100 percent I am still able to box, It will still be under the same circumstances, as in I still have to get permission cleared from Bellator, which is fine and understandable, especially with the tournament coming up.

I call Bellator home for a reason.

It’s strictly personal. Everybody knows it. I want him in the first round, because I don’t believe he would make it to the final anyway. I don’t think he’d make it past the first round regardless of who he fights, but I prefer to be the one that takes him out of the tournament in the first round.
