Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler have already started making huge strides in the WWE since their respective debuts. However, it seems like the remaining two of MMA’s Four Horsewomen will join them soon.
Former MMA fighters, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir have signed with the WWE as performers. The duo has reported to the WWE Performance Center earlier this week.
WWE announced their signing publicly and briefed upon their backgrounds and past accomplishments as MMA fighters.
Jessamyn Duke has competed for the Ultimate Fighting Championship where she has made huge strides for herself. Now, she’ll look to accomplish glory in the squared circle.
“The Supernova from Moldova” Marina Shafir is a phenomenal fighter and an elite mixed martial artist. Shafir is also the fiancee of NXT Tag Team Champion Roderick Strong. Shafir and Strong have a child together named Troy Veniamin Lindsey.
WWE posted a video of an interview they did with Shafir and Duke reacting to their signing. The duo said that they are elite athletes so they will eventually conquer the WWE and make a notorious name for themselves.
They also teased a possible feud with WWE’s Four Horsewomen: Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Bayley and Becky Lynch. The duo said that their arrival and their training will eventually lead to something in the future.
During the interview, Duke called them the “Faux Horsewomen”.
