Tom Aspinall, in an interview with Sky Sports, expressed his thoughts on Mokaev’s release, describing it as a “bad spot” for the young fighter. He hinted at underlying issues that might have contributed to the decision, stating, “There’s definitely some stuff that the media [doesn’t] know about this guy. I know that for sure. But there’s [people] like that every time, you know what I mean? People are people. It’s just a shame for Muhammad [Mokaev]. I hope they give him, you know, another chance”.
