Arianny Celeste to Khabib Nurmagomedov: "You don’t have to like me, but you will respect me"

UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste has responded to the comments made by former UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in which he recently stated that the ring Girls are the most useless people in the MMA. In one of the press conferences held in Moscow, Khabib made some shocking comments on the ring girls in MMA who usually walk around with boards that indicate the round. According to Khabib, he feels there’s no need for them to be a part of the MMA circuit as they play no role in anything related to the actual fight game.

“Look, I don’t want to offend anyone, ring girls are the most useless people in martial arts,” Nurmagomedov said during a Moscow press conference (h/t MiddleEasy). “What is their purpose? I have a question. You can show that it is the second round on the screen. I realize that is a history. History knows many mistakes. We read history to avoid mistakes of the past in the future. If we look in the history, it says they are useless. That is my personal opinion”

“For example, I sit with my father. Every person has his own preferences, the culture, and values. I come to fight night, sit with my father. These people are passing by and showing that it is the second round. But no one looks at the plate.”

“I feel uncomfortable with my father,” he continued. “I am not against it. If you want you can do it, but don’t impose it to me, do it aside. There are the designated places for it. I think we must not mix all of it. This is my private opinion.”

Khabib Received a huge backlash for his comments on the ring girls. He previously also got a lot of heat when he said that women shouldn’t be fighting. Now UFC superstars Nate Diaz and Conor Mcgregor were the first to post memes on this topic.

Also on the most famous UFC ring girl, Arianna Celeste posted a message on Instagram and gave her thoughts on Khabib’s comments.

“I’ve work over 15 years in this industry and learned it’s easier just to simply NOT CARE. For 15 years we have been more than just ring girls – we have dedicated time in promoting UFC and showing love and time to our die hard fans through touring the world and personal appearances . And while the world is very different right now , I can still feel that energy and love every time we have a show with an audience.”
