One of the most recognizable names in the MMA world, Nate Diaz is no stranger to controversy and audacity. However, his recent proclamation has sent shockwaves through both the boxing and mixed martial arts communities.
The Stockton native, famous for his post-fight interviews and unfiltered demeanour, minced no words when he called out three of the biggest names in heavyweight boxing: Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, and Tyson Fury- stating that he would defeat all three of boxing’s heavyweight greatests.
“Anthony Joshua Deontay wilder Tyson fury I’ll whoop all your asses Just so u know,” Diaz posted on X (formerly Twitter) this Sunday night.

Nate Diaz has been pursing a “real fight” against boxing’s heavyweight Titans
This isn’t the first time, however, when Diaz has gone after boxing’s heavyweight icons. Back in February this year, the former UFC welterweight star had issued a similar challenge to both Fury and Joshua, stating that he would batter up the two heavyweights in the squared circle.
“I’ll f**k up Tyson Fury. I’ll f**k up Anthony Joshua. All these m***********s in a real fight, like, they don’t stand a chance. And then it’s like, we’ve got, everybody’s going on boxing [Floyd] Mayweather,” Diaz told streamer Sneako last month. “We’re playing a little game… I don’t like being like, labeled as an ‘MMA fighter’. I’m a boxer. I’m a Jiu-Jitsu guy. I’m a kickboxer. I don’t like any of the one-dimensional things by itself anyway. I like it all.” [H/T Sport Bible]
While the likelihood of Diaz stepping into the ring with Joshua, Wilder, or Fury remains slim, the intrigue persists. The allure of a “real fight”—a primal clash devoid of rules and gloves—captivates the imagination of the boxing fans. His own pro boxing debut happened against Jake Paul in August last year- the 10-round fight that ended with a unanimous decision loss for Diaz.
As the boxing world grapples with this unconventional proposition, one thing is certain: Nate Diaz has thrown down the gauntlet, daring the heavyweight titans to meet him outside their comfort zones. Whether they accept or dismiss his challenge, Diaz’s words echo through the fight game, leaving us wondering what chaos might unfold if these worlds collide.
Whether it’s the sweet science of boxing or the raw brutality of a street fight, Nate Diaz’s audacity reminds us that warriors are born from defiance and fearlessness. And in the shadows of the squared circle, a new narrative unfolds—one that blurs the lines between disciplines and tests the limits of combat sports.
