Nate Diaz slams Kamaru Usman for fighting Covington at UFC 261

UFC superstar Nate Diaz doesn’t seem happy to see the welterweight champion Kamaru Usman defend his belt against Colby Covington against whom he already has a win over.

Nate Diaz recently fought at UFC 263 against a top-ranked welterweight in Leon Edwards. The fight went the distance and Leon got the judges decision, but what the fans will remember forever is the heart of Nate for not giving up at any moment in the fight when he knew he would eventually lose on the judge’s scorecard.

The UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman is now set to fight his arch-rival and his hardest fight to date, Colby Covington. The fight is not official yet but UFC President Dana White on several occasions has made it clear that Colby Covington is next in line. White also said previously that the winner of Diaz vs Edwards will also get the title shot sometime in near future.

Nate Diaz recently reacted to the Usman and Covington matchup. This has generated a feud between the champion Usman and Diaz.

“Who dis guy fighting next ? Someone he already koed”

“I don’t care if I lose, I’m fighting for the title,” Diaz told Rolling Stone before UFC 263. “The plan is win here and then we’ll see who’s next for me.”

“I see you 209,” Usman wrote. “If you really want this 187 then call your boy Hunter.”

Ur locked down you do what ur told to do like a good champion”

“Key word “CHAMPION” lol. All you guys just internet tough guys nowadays. Like I said if you really want this pressure then holla at your boy hunter”

“Your doing great champ I wasn’t trying to disrespect Have a good fight with one of those poor guys you beat up”

The feud seems to be cooled down for the moment but the chances are that these guys would take shots at each other and if the stars align, we might get to see them fight each other. Nate Diaz won his last fight against Anthony Pettis and then lost back-to-back fights to Masvidal and Edwards but the fact is all of these guys are highly ranked fighters and none of them could finish him. Still, many people don’t consider him a high-level fighter. Kamaru Usman on the other hand is one the greatest welterweight champs ever. He has defended his belt against Covington, Burns, and twice against Masvidal.
