Recently Nate was also engaging with UFC lightweight contender Dustin Poirier and the duo was talking about a potential fight between them.
“Nathan?,” Poirier tweeted.
“Let’s fight don’t be scared this time tho” – Diaz replied on Twitter.
“I knew you was a pussy bitch that’s 2-0” Diaz Tweeted.
“Boss the fuck up quit being a lil bitch I do what I want You do what your told” Diaz Tweeted.
In 2018, it was announced that Poirier had agreed to fight Nate Diaz on November 3, 2018, in Madison Square Garden. The bout was expected to be the co-headliner of UFC 230. However, on October 10, it was stated that Poirier pulled out due to a hip injury and as a result, the bout was canceled.
“It is exciting, it is fun. Those are the kind of fights I want to be part of. Fights that are exciting to me and that I’m motivated to get up and bust my ass every day,” Dustin Poirier said to ESPN about Diaz. “That is exciting. That is a guy I grew up watching, a guy who is still a very big name, that’s it.
“I think the fans would be in for a great fight if that one happens,” Poirier continued about Diaz. “Does it make sense in the lightweight division? No. Does it make sense where I am at, standing in the door front of a title shot? No. But, it is a fun fight and this is entertainment and this is fighting.”
Nate Diaz has been quite active in the last 2 years compared to his previous fighting years. He fought the top welterweight contender Leon Edwards in the first-ever non-title non-main event five-rounder fight in his last fight. The fight was a dominant decision win for Edwards but the most memorable moment of the fight was when Nate rocked Leon in the last minute of the fight and was just a few shots away from finishing him. The MMA world is waiting for Nate’s arrival. Soon Nate Diaz’s elder brother Nick will be making his return to the octagon against Robbie Lawler at UFC 266.
