‘Nerves’ blamed for Aspen Ladd shivering during weigh in

Aspen Ladd is all set to fight former UFC featherweight champion Germaine De Randamie at UFC on ESPN+ 13 which will take place at the  Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California this weekend.

However, before the fight could even start, Aspen Ladd gave fans a scary moment during the weigh-ins when the unbeaten California native was seen trembling on the scale. Although Aspen Ladd made weight, she came close to a medical mishap during the weigh-ins, she had trouble even putting on her dress and a California State Athletic Commission member had to walk Ladd out.

However, hours later the Athletic Commission cleared Aspen Ladd for the fight as she was deemed fit.

I feel fantastic, now,” Ladd said on the UFC on ESPN+ 13 weigh-in show on ESPN+. “I mean it’s always a little bit rough, that was particularly rough but I made it, I’m feeling good, and I’m ready for tomorrow.”

“She did slightly overshoot her weight cut, but she was not dangerously dehydrated. She had moist mucus membranes, her vital signs were stable and within a few minutes, she was starting to orally hydrate and was back to normal. She is cleared to fight.” CSAC physician Gary Furness said.
