MMA is a sport of pain and injuries and should not be imitated by kids at home. One reason would be the potential risks of getting injured as even a simple and friendly sparring session can result in a broken nose, as was demonstrated by Brent Primus and his sparring partner.
When preparing for the championship rematch against Michael Chandler, Brent Primus broke his training partner’s nose during a sparring session. A video was posted on Instagram which made the incident evident.
In the video, it is seen that Primus “fixed” the broken nose’s position with his hand. We must warn you though, the video is bloody and gnarly. A pool of blood can be seen on the matt as well.

On December 14, Primus will have his first title defense after he took the belt from Chandler at Bellator NYC. An injury caused Chandler unable to continue the fight and Primus was declared the winner via TKO in the first round.
The title match is headlining Bellator’s “Salute the Troops” at Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is expected to bring some resolution to their long-lasting rivalry caused by their first ever encounter. Judging from the sparring session, Primus is not looking to pull any punches.
