Indian Boxing sensation Nutlai Lalbiakkima is all set to fight Philippines’ Jayson Vayson at the World Trade Center in Dubai on June 18. The fight is for the WBC Asia light flyweight title and the event is being billed as ‘Countdown to Middle East Crown 4‘.
Nutlai Lalbiakkima last fought against Pakistan’s Fida Muhammad in an India vs Pakistan fight card promoted by Grassroot Boxing Promotion under the promoter Mujtaba Kamal. Nutlai brutally knocked him out in the second round of his fight.
Prior to that, Nutlai in November of 2021 against Gerttipong Kumsahwat and knocked him out in the second round to successfully defend his IBA Minimumweight Intercontinental title. Nutlai put on a dominant performance against the Thai boxer.
The fight was Nutlai Lalbiakkima’s first title defense since his win over Sandeep Kumar, where he won the IBA title. The fight against Sandeep Kumar took place in August earlier this year at the Marine Center in Vashi.

Jayson Vayson is a Philippines based professional boxer with a pro boxing record of 9-0-1 (9 wins – 0 losses -1 defeat). He last fought against Tibo Monabesa of Indonesia at the Holywings Club in Jakarta. The fight was supposed to be for the World Boxing Council Light Flyweight title, but the fight ended up as a ‘No Contest’.
Prior to that, all of Jayson’s opponent were from the Philippines and all his fights took place in his home country, where he had compiled nine wins. Prior to his fight against Tibo, he had fought against his fellow countryman Geboi Mansalayao where he scored a KO win.
