Paulo Costa’s career, so far, has been nothing short of a sensation. With a perfect 12-0 record, Costa also boasts of having earned the 12 finishes by virtue of knockouts. After making an easy work of Uriah Hall at UFC 226, Costa seemed to have earned his way to a big match up that could give his professional career just the correct push it needs.
Costa was slated to go up against the only man in the 185 pounds weight class who can compare himself to be as jacked as him, Yoel Romero. Despite UFC officials formally announcing the matchup, Romero claims he never agreed or signed to fight at UFC 230, which takes place Nov. 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Romero said an orbital injury prevented him from making the date, and that he still needs four or five more months to completely recover.
However despite the setback, “The Eraser” still has his eyes fixed on fighting the “Soldier of God”. Costa has put up an Instagram post reiterating the same that he his still waiting for Romero.

The decision to wait for a big fight like Romero doesn’t seem to be all that bad considering all the prospective fighters for a rising star like Costa have already been booked for a fight .
