One FC have been massively bolstering their roster by signing major names and popular fighters from the world’s premier fighting promotion the UFC. Even one of the UFC’s greatest fighters of all time, Demetrious Johnson jumped ships to One FC alongside another former UFC champion as well as Bellator champion, Eddie Alvarez. While one of the most exciting young prospects of the UFC, Sage Northcutt also joined One. Now in an interview, One Championship CEO Chatri Sityodthong has explained why he decided to sign DJ, Alvarez and Northcutt.
Chatri recently told MMA Fighting the reason as to what led him to sign all these MMA superstars from the UFC. Here’s what he had to say:
Well for DJ it was obvious, he is the greatest mixed martial artist in the history in terms of technical ability. At least for me, he is in terms of skill and technical ability, you can put GSP up there as well. But what makes him even more special is that he is a wonderful human being, he shares the same values, he has authentic values, incredible life story that UFC never ever told.
Eddie Alvarez is the same thing, phenomenal athlete, the only man to ever win both UFC and Bellator titles, third world title which is missing in his repertoire is One Championship.
And Sage Northcutt same thing, so this is some thing that we have a long incoming demand now by athletes from around the world, from a lot of the top global organisations.
