For combat sports fans, Friday means it’s time for ONE Friday Fights, where talented young stars compete in high-octane battles, aiming to make a name for themselves and secure a coveted US$100,000 contract with ONE Championship.
This Friday, 11 April, the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, will ignite twelve thrilling bouts across Muay Thai, MMA, and Kickboxing.
The headliner of the show is a heart-pounding rematch between two enigmatic Thai stars who have been nothing short of spectacular since their arrival.
In this strawweight Muay Thai contest, Chartpayak Saksatoon (67-15) and Kompet Fairtex (89-20) will battle it out in a rematch of their November 2023 fight. In that contest, Chartpayak defeated Kompet via majority decision.
Kompet will leave no stone unturned to get the victory against Chartpayak, who put an end to his winning streak.
On the other hand, Chartpayak has won all six of his bouts so far. Another big win over Kompet could seal the deal for him to earn the contract.
The talented Myanmarese star Sonrak Fairtex (68-22) will be back in action against Khunponnoi Sor Sommai (122-33) in a flyweight Muay Thai fight. In his last five bouts, he has defeated stars from Japan, UK, Thailand, and Algeria. Sonrak now aims to secure his sixth straight win.
The other Muay Thai, MMA, and kickboxing fights promise to be packed with non-stop action.
