ONE Friday Fights 110 took over Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, as more stars across Muay Thai, MMA, and kickboxing disciplines looked to punch their ticket to a spot on ONE Championship’s global roster on May 30.
In the main event, Thai favorite Worapon Lukjaoporongtom earned his second win in a row as he carved out a nasty unanimous decision win versus Ilyas Musaev in 142-pound Muay Thai action.
The pair started out trading kicks. Musaev’s striking game began to take precedence, which alerted Worapon to unleash his suffocating clinch game. The Thai star successfully managed to neutralize his foe’s strengths in order to control the bout.
Musaev caught wind of Worapon’s clinch work in round two. He remained on the outside and landed plenty of sharp right hands whenever his adversary closed the distance, but in being on the backfoot for so long, it was clear his gas tank began to empty.
That enabled Worapon to access the clinch and unleash gruesome elbows and precise knees to his waning opponent en route to picking up the unanimous decision win.
The featured bout of the night saw Turkish star Soner Sen return to the win column when he breezed through Komawut FA Group in a one-sided 142-pound Muay Thai affair.
Sen had a clear height and reach advantage from the get-go, and he made the most of it in order to pepper the face of Komawut throughout the opening stanza.
Komawut tried to make adjustments by chasing his man and putting him on the back foot. But Sen had settled in and continued to land great uppercuts that quickly busted up his foe’s face.
In the final minutes, Sen was in cruise control as he continued to pick apart Komawut. The Thai star couldn’t get near him. And as a result, “Golden Boy” re-entered the winner’s circle and picked up the unanimous decision.
