The legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, played host to another action-packed night of martial arts as some of the best up-and-comers and veterans impressed on ONE Friday Fights 95 with sensational knockouts and barnburner three-round duels.
At the top of the bill, Thai upstart Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi flattened fellow countryman Yodlekpet “The Destroyer” Or Atchariya in their flyweight Muay Thai duel to secure his third successive win on the promotion’s weekly hit spectacle.
The knockout victory did not come easily, though. The 23-year-old had to alter his aggressive nature for a more technical approach as Yodlekplet stayed right in his face, landing one big punch after another.
Still, none of that fazed the Sor Dechapan affiliate. Where he lacked in power, Jaosuayai ripped through his opposite number’s defense with volume, throwing punches and kicks against traffic with his back mostly tied against the ropes.
The youngster continued absorbing a chain of attacks from “The Destroyer” as round two kicked off. But at the same time, he was finding a way to author another highlight-reel stoppage on the global stage – which came just moments later.
Jaosuayai retaliated with punches in bunches that sent Yodlekpet backpedaling for the first time in the contest. The striking specialist didn’t waste a split second from there, going with a hook to the body and a pair of hooks to crumble “The Destroyer” at 1:35 of the stanza.
His finish marked the fourth knockout win of his ONE Friday Fights campaign. At the same time, Jaosuayai improved his overall slate to 56-22. As for Yodlekpet, he absorbed the fourth defeat in his past six outings.
In another highlight win of the night, #4-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender Kiamran Nabati moved to 23-0 in his career and 5-0 in the organization with a first-round finish of Thai superstar Ferrari Fairtex.
Meanwhile, Japanese kickboxer and former four-time K-1 Champion Kana booked a shot at “The Queen” Phetjeeja off a clinical nine-minute display against Swedish powerhouse Moa “The X-Guard” Carlsson. Their scheduled five-round tie goes down at ONE 172: Takeru vs. Rodtang inside Saitama Super Arena in Japan on March 23.
