Former UFC fighter Paige VanZant is reuniting with her former boss Dana White but this time for a match of Power Slap. VanZant, who last competed in both the strawweight and flyweight divisions in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will feature on the Power Slap 8 on June 28 2024.
Paige ’12 Gauge’ VanZant will be making her slap-fighting debut up against Christine ‘The Edge’ Wolmarans (who is also an former MMA fighter).

in a recent press conference, she revealed what made her pick Power Slap. She said, “Everybody watches Power Slap. They’ve taken over. Everybody knows what it is.”

Dana White’s experiment has seen mixed reaction from fans across the world. However, the event continues to grow.
Paige outside the UFC
After a stint in the UFC, Paige ventured out into a lot of different events:
- Professional Wrestling: She joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and made her debut in May 2022.
- Bare Knuckle Boxing: VanZant transitioned to bare-knuckle fighting, showcasing her toughness and striking skills.
- Television Appearances: She wowed audiences on “Dancing with the Stars” and tested her culinary skills on “Chopped.”
