In a thrilling middleweight boxing bout at the MF & DAZN: X Series 15, UFC veteran Paige VanZant faced off against fellow fighter and Misfits middleweight champion, Elle Brooke. The fight took place at the NRG Arena in Houston and went the full five rounds, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.
Early Trouble for Paige VanZant
In the first round, Elle Brooke dropped Paige VanZant with a solid punching combination, punctuated by a sharp right hand. VanZant hit the canvas early, but she showed incredible resilience and determination. Despite the knockdown, she recovered and pressed forward over the next four rounds, weathering more big punches from Brooke.

Dueling Scores and a Split Draw
When the final bell rang, the judges were unable to determine a clear winner. Two judges scored the fight 48-46 in favor of either fighter, while the third judge saw the fight as a draw with a 47-47 score. As a result, the bout was declared a split draw. Elle Brooke retained her Misfits middleweight title, but the close contest left fans hungry for more.
During her in-ring post-fight interview, Paige VanZant expressed her thoughts on the outcome: “It is what it is. It sets up the perfect rematch.” She hinted at a potential rematch with Elle Brooke, possibly in Dubai. Brooke, although not upset with the result, believed her early knockdown should have given her the nod. Both fighters are excited about the prospect of a “big money” rematch in the near future.
VanZant’s Journey
This fight marked Paige VanZant’s return to combat sports after a unanimous decision loss in a bareknuckle boxing bout against Rachael Ostovich at BKFC 19. While VanZant has been competitive across MMA, boxing, and bare-knuckle, she hasn’t secured a win since her submission victory over Ostovich in the UFC back in 2019.
