Paulo Costa is all set to fight former title challenger Yoel Romero at UFC 241 which will take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on August 17.

The pair were scheduled to fight each other back in 2018 at UFC 230 in Madison Square Garden in New York, but the fight fell through when Romero got injured and had to pull out of the fight.

Costa revealed his thoughts about his upcoming fight with Portel Do Vale Tudo, where he said that the Cuban won’t be able to handle his pressure and power.

I’ll hunt him down from the first moment because I know he will feel my strikes when I connect with them. Of course, I’ll remain and won’t rush it, I’ll wait for the right moment and if by chance, which I find unlikely to happen, he wants to do the opposite and hunt me down, he will get countered and fall faster than he can imagine.” (H/T – BloodyElbow.com)

Paulo Costa was suspended by USADA for six-months following his use of banned IVs. His suspension ended on February 10, 2019. He didn’t have a therapeutic use exemption for IVs. He is coming off of a TKO win over Uriah Hall at UFC 226 last year.
